Your house has all the protection from the elements after A2Z Impact Windows finishes their installation of your new impact windows.
Now though you will want to keep up with your investment and properly maintain these windows by properly cleaning them. To do this you will want to invest in some quality microfiber towels, a high-grade abrasive cleaner, hose and squeegee. You DO NOT want to clean your new windows with paper towel. They aren’t able to thoroughly remove all the moisture on a window and can create bigger issues in the future.
Once you have these items on-hand, here are a few tips for cleaning:
Rinse your windows with your hose.
Use a regular nozzle, not a pressure-cleaning mechanism and spray and remove loose dirt and debris. Try not to do this when the windows are in direct sunlight, as it could cause water to dry quickly and create new and unwanted water spots.
Remove excess water with a squeegee.
You will want to do this immediately after spraying the window down. Start at the top of the windows and go downward. You will also want to wipe off excess moisture on the squeegee with a microfiber cloth.
Glass cleaner should be applied evenly.
With your microfiber towel apply a non-abrasive glass cleaner. Do not spray the cleaner directly onto the window. Instead, spray the microfiber with the cleaner and then apply the microfiber onto the window. You will want to make sure the cleaner you use does not have an abrasive ingredients as impact glass have special coatings and you could create scratches on the windows or remove the coatings by using a cleaner that is abrasive.
